Hello...
I have a 2002 S40 and the passenger side headlight wiper blade is stuck in the vertical position. It makes a loud noise as the car is started, but usually goes away after 3-5 minutes. I tried moving the blade and now have broken the blade off (dumb move, I know now)
Other than a new blade, is this in need of a new motor and/or assembly, or is there another way of fixing this?
Any information and help would greatly be appreciated, as well as a good source for the replacement parts.

Curiously the wiper motor should not make any noise unless acutated. Turning on the car each day (unless you have the wiper/waher activated while starting --- you would have to do this manually each time at the steering column switch) should not activate the motor.
I would unlug the motor and make sure that is where your noise is coming from.
If it is then I would replace the motor and wiper as they are non servicable.
