Volvo is new to me
Saw the unit but "assumed" part of the engine temp system (Toyota/Honda style)
Given a book when bought the car but very generic, need to purchase a better manual

looked at the Volvo Yesterday (been down with the flu) well the radiator hoses are one piece each (no sensors) do have the unit shown on the diagram you posted in radiator (item 13). retraced the wire: compressor to a plug connection from here to the low pressure sensor/ low pressure sensor thru fire wall (straight shot/ no secondary line(s) off)
Going to take one more hard look behind center console under dash to locate that "green" wire" if no luck will install a switch like a rice burner system.
Experimented with the fused jumber; system functions like it should except cannot turn compressor off, switch would solve this problem.
