hesitation- 55 to 70 mph

2000 V-70 XC 5cyl turbo auto

Was having a starting problem about 3 weeks ago. Had a full tune-up done(plugs, air filter, fuel filter etc) The starting problem appears to have gone away, but now I'm getting a hesitation between 55 and 70 mph. Feels like fuel, but I suppose it could be elect/computer. It seems like it's getting worse. Low speed is OK, so far. Shows no dash lights and there were no codes when the tune was done. Fuel pump maybe or something else? Any ideas- greatly appreciated.

You might try running some fuel system cleaner through it. Techron, Red Line Fuel Cleaner, or one of the other major brands. You may have a fuel injector issue that just isn't bad enough to trip the error code yet. What brand/octane of gas are you using? I just got a price for a fuel pump for my S70. it is about $300 + labor. I'd start with the cleaner for a tank or two and see if it helps at all.

Do you know what type of plugs were put in the car? Anything other than copper plugs have caused big problems in turbo'd Volvos. Also, on fuel system cleaners, DON'T use STP. Volvo's DO NOT like STP and using it will result in hefty repair bill.
