BODY MOULDING-----TIMING BELT

I HAVE A 95 850 WAGON GLT...I NEED TO REPLACE THE BOTH LEFT DOOR MOULDINGS. WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL?
ALSO, THE TIMING BELT WAS DONE AT 70K ACCORDING TO THE STICKER.
I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 148K ON IT. I DONT KNOW IF THE BELT WAS DONE AT 140K(NO RECORDS). I'M GOING TO PULL THE COVER AND INSPECT THE BELT? WHAT DO I LOOK FOR. I KNOW WITH SERPENTINE BELTS THEY SAY REPLACE IF THERE ARE CRACKS EVERY 1 INCH OR SO.

I would go ahead and just replace the timing belt to be sure. It is a simple project and the belt is only about $25. It is alot easier then rebuilding the engine after timing belt failure! Timing belts are difficult to inspect as some problems with them may not be readily visible.

The door moulding is held in place at the front edge with double sided tape and the rear with a screw/bolt. there are clips along the middle that slide on the moulding.
