v40 t4s 51 engine

my engine needs some work doing,but i was thinking of a replacement engine,will the engine from a s40 2.0 turbo fit and is it the same engine ?

The engine on the S40 2.0T and the T4 is the same, but check the spec in your country because in the US it was called the 1.9T and the T4 was not sold.

I have both a v40 2.0T and a T4 and the engine is the same. The turbo is basically the main difference (different kind to take it from 165bhp to 200bhp)

I have 2.0T and a T4 and the engine is the same, but I am not sure that the turbo is the only difference. I notice that the cooling fan is noisier on the T4 and of course it works more than in the 2.0T. There might also be a different suspension tuning (different springs and or shocks/struts).

Does anybody know if I change the turbo to the T4 turbo if I need to do anything else? Would I risk the 2.0T overheating?

Having one of each I can tell you that the difference in performance is amazing.
