760 turbo wheel noise
760 turbo wheel noise
I have a 1990 760 turbo wagon w/ 197k miles on it. Today I noticed a clicking sound coming from the left front wheel area. Could this be a sign of a bad wheel bearing? something else? My car seems to be having many issues lately. Is this possibly a sign of another costly repair?
Thanks

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
It may be a wheel bearing, it may be brake related or it may be something simple like a piece of road grit stuck in the tread of the tyre.
To check the wheel bearing jack up the car, leaving the wheel nuts tight. Grasp the tyre at the top and the bottom then push and pull on the tyre. If the bearing is slack you will feel play in the wheel. On the 760 the wheel bearings can be adjusted and replacement is a simple job.
