1990 240 Wagon: turn signals not working

Post by efatsi »

Hey,

On my 1990 240 wagon, I've replaced the turn signal switch, the flasher, and the fuse multiple times but the fuse gets blown whenever the car is running. The turn signals will work for hours if the car is not on, but with the engine running a fuse will only last a couple of minutes before it gets blown. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
-Eli

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Fuse #5 only covers the turn signals and the reversing lights so I would be looking for a short circuit in the reversing lights.
