Moldy 2005 V50 5-speed w/blown HG.. am I crazy to think of fixing it?

A windshield leak sounds much more difficult than a sunroof drain issue. I don’t have a garage to do the work in unfortunately. Can anyone chime in on wether I’ll need an engine hoist / cherry picker to pull the head ? Or can it be done by hand ? It’s currently in a gravel driveway so a hoist won’t work unless I can find a cement driveway to work on it. It’s a nice looking car on the outside and the 5 speed manual sounds fun.
