You can’t do colours over the internet easily, too many variables on both sides.
I do have the special S70 in 419 426

abscate, do you have the mixture for 426/419.
My paint mix has 2 aluminum codes from th first batch and from automotivetouchup it has silver.
It seems to my eye that the brightness of the aluminum is preventing a close color match.
I understand that plstic and metal take paint differently and I am really struggling w/this.
Hope you can advise and good day,
Tommy

The car mentioned in the Abscate Fleet has doors from two donors. There was no attempt at blending the two different colo(u)r codes at the door seams. He was born in Great Britain; it could be some sort of English vision test.tommylg wrote: ↑25 Oct 2022, 04:21 abscate, do you have the mixture for 426/419.

Left unanswered is the data plate on your car. If you can move the battery out of the way, can you get a clear picture showing the paint code and interior numbers ?

Based on the pictures you posted, this does not look like your car.

I have several silver Volvos. The 850s are 419 Silver, and the V70s are 426 Silver. Dr. Abscate has a car that wears doors from a donor car that are painted a different colo(u)r than the body of the car.
The only way you are going to get a reasonable match to your over two-decade old paint is to take the car to a good collision repair shop and have them scan it. In some places NAPA stores that mix paint can do it too, but each of the scanners usually give them the formula for whatever paint manufacturer they use.
Just walking in with numbers on a sheet of paper is guesswork, as you have already discovered.
And as mentioned several times, your 850 doesn't seem to be Vanilla Pearl 491.

What foggydogg said. But post a picture of the plate with the paint code (and it's going to say 419
).

Here is the part of the Vin plate on the LH inner fender by the battery. This is the one on my car and the code is 441-46 which you see on the 3rd line on the RHS of the plate. My car is what we call Laser Blue hence the unusual code number
