Hi Steve,

My car is 12V from factory.......... 1964!

My distrib cap and points are new, as are all of my wires (plug and coil). I guess time will tell. I have read that if a coil is going bad it can just cut out once it gets warmed to running temps ( 15-20 min ). have you heard this.......

Holly

How long is it going to take you to get to Carlisle? Do you have B18 or have you modified to B20?

Holy it will take about 7 to 8 hours to Carlisle Possibly more depending on how many outlet malls we can pass without my wife wanting to go in.

The coil failing when it gets hot I have heard of in fct ai hasd a coil on one car that would cut out if you raised the revs over 4000 rpm. Hopefully you can get a hold of a used coil as they are quite expensive like about $250 or more for new.

My car has the origonal B18 that I had bored out to 2 liter, it has a B20 fuel injection head with the injection ports plugged and using rebuilt origonal SU's
