Hi Scott, do you have a photo of that multi pin connector?
And is the speedo connector the largest connector on the cluster?
Found that the ABS light bulb is burned out. Likely is on——but no codes to be pulled from OBDII. Am i right in thinking the ABS codes can’t be pulled from OBD on this car and need piece of wire bridged between 2 ports etc to pull codes? Have dash pulled.
Cheers

I don't have a wiring diagram to answer your question. There are 3? connectors to the cluster. I believe the small one at the back near the windshield is the speedometer one.

Electrical is not my forte, and can't answer your question on the ABS readings. If you can use a ELM device and the download the 850 OBDII APP for Volvo. I seem to recall that can read ABS codes.

Well I messed around with them a little, cleaned them. The harness leading under the lower dash is a little hard to pinpoint. Too many connectors. But I put it all back together, replaced burnt out ABS bulb—haven’t driven it during the heat of the day yet, but no ABS light. Speedo is now reading a consistent 13mph over, resting at 13 on a stop. Pretty sure that all of its manic flickering and jumping messed up its resting position. Have to reset that one by hand. Otherwise regarding the dying gauges will have to see once I drive it. Will keep page updated

Mine did this when I bought my 98 S70. no gauges worked except the idiot lights and the trip/odo. All was well after I replaced the cluster. $45 junkyard part, I got lucky the mileage was close on the jy unit.

-98 years you can swap speedo clusters, but 99- you can't unless you don't mind not being able to use the OBDII system.
