Thank you JonesG!
So move that lower timing mark on the crank that one valley over to TDC and see where the upper timing marks are. I'm also goint to re-connect the fuel injectors and the fuel pump fuse to check for pressure at the rail.

Got very tied up with a custom men's ring and a stone pointing project i mixed way too much mud for on my first time working on it solo. Stayed to finish out the mud and crashing. Back to the s60 in the morning!

55 PSI at the rail. Cannot do the crank at TDC as my assistant ( my 16 y/o daughter ) is at my oldest daughter for 2 days. my broken wrist is 2 weeks into healing, much better but not enough to jack etc...

thats bang on perfect timing.
and you have pressure at the rail, now verify the injectors are firing.
even with one coil unplugged it should still start and run.
a $30 smartphone boroscope (amazon) in the cyl would help, the sparkplug might have gotten hammered by the pcv banjo bolt ball bearing.
But even so , it should fire up.
if you're not familiar withe banjo bolt problem see this.

JonesG,
I watched that video. I'm way more familiar with that banjo bolt than I would like to be. I disconnected the fuel rail, pulled the power, tested supply and got 11.9 battery power on all 5. Tested for resistance and got 12.7 to 13 across the board. Juiced each 1 up with a 9 volt battery and got a full spray from them all.

yeh but you need to check for pulse when cranking the starter.
If you can feel them clicking when the starter is cranking then its probably got a big intake leak, maybe the hose came off the ETM.

I just had my husband crank it and I listened with a long screw driver. I heard nothing but the loud cranking. He said it flashed low engine power so I tried cranking again with the code reader. WOW! We finally have codes! * of them.
#1- P0240-Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor B Circuit Range/ Performance
#2, 3,4,5,6- P0205, P0204,P0203, P0201 and P0202 Injector A circuit in all 5 cylinders
#8-P0076-Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Low Bank 1.

the oil is dark you say, ok that could aCCOUNT FOR THE INTAKE cam solenoid P0076..
but all the injectors not firing, check the fuse under the hood, #6 in my v70 2004..
they should have constant voltage and fire when the ecm grounds ea injector.
If the fuse is blown you need to find out why, examine the injector wiring, look for cracked insulation due to heat.
I would also test the coils to make sure the plugs are firing.
Examine the coil wires too, they can also lose the insulation due to heat.,
if the injectors and coils are getting good power but not triggering it could be the crankshaft position sensor, if the ecm doesn't know where the timing is it won't fire the injectors or plugs.
If you get this far don't rush out and buy a crank position sensor, it could be the sensor wire loom is picking up elec noise from the starter as the wiring runs behind the starter, try moving the wire from behind the starter first.
But I tend to think if the crank sensor was toast it would set a code, whereas if the injector fuse blew you would get what you got.
The codes are telling you none of the injectors are firing.

Hello Jonesg!
She's running! I believe the injectors codes were thrown when I was powering up the connectors to test for voltage. Under that assumption I cleared all the codes and she started right up. The P0076 came back on but then cleared after I drove it around the block. Initially there was a smell of burning plastic for a couple minutes and then that cleared also. I'm going to take her for a longer drive and see how it goes. The wiring harness plastic clip over the starter is broken and was laying on the starter...I'm about to rig a holder for that now. I am beyond grateful to you and to this forum. My husband is in celebration mode. It's going for an oil change and tires and then to our volvo specialist ( Dennis Auto on Aramingo) for a thorough check up.
