I'm liking my C30 a lot now that the primary problem has been sorted, and I'm still sifting through the options related to the camber. One question I have is.... the adjustable control arms are for the rear only. So if I take out the camber with those, how do I take out the camber in the front wheels? Are taller springs the only solution for the front? does the car only have a camber problem in the back? Apologies, I am not educated on automotive suspensions at all. All "stupid newbie" explanations are welcome !
But thankfully, this car is not "bouncy" and "jumpy" like the way the hard core street race dudes set up their cars. I'd just like a little more spring travel and softness, because of the not-maintained roads and speed bumps that define driving in in Los Angeles, Besides, I've already been through airplane racing, sailplane racing, and waaay too many speeding tickets when I was young and indestructible, so anything related to high performance handling and street racing is probably not a good idea for this old slow-reflexed geezer
Today I did find a piece of rather attractive expanded metal with hex shaped pattern, and cut out a new grille insert. When the special high speed Gloss Black racing paint (Aerospace-Oleum, rattle can edition) is dry tomorrow I'll figure out a way to mount it in the modified/repaired chrome plastic surround. Still considering one of Dave's chromed plastic moose badges to replace the original Volvo logo, but not 100% decided yet. Definitely going with the yellow moose badges on the fenders, will look fabulous on a black car
