Re: 95 850 NA Burning oil after rebuild
Looking at the valve seals - don't some of these engines have 6mm valve stems instead of 7mm ?
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Did it burnt oil before rebuilt?
How about valve guides?
Did the ring had out of spec gap when you put it into a sleeve and leveled with a cylinder....before putting it onto a cylinder?
Was pcv system cleaned or replaced during this job?Could be clogged...also flame trap could be clogged.
Sometimes burned after sitting idling or on a traffic jam, or when revved cold
Probably not valve guides, I've rarely seen these fail, and as I didn't mess with the valves when the head was off, I doubt they would suddenly fail like that
Well, I forgot to check for ring gap while I was putting it together, probably screwed up there
And yes, I cleaned the entire PCV system when the head was off, hoses, catch can, oil galleys and so on
Also, just did a compression test, looks normal to me:
Cyl 1 - 180psi
2 - 205psi
3 - 180psi
4 - 185psi
5 - 188psi
Could be fake since the amount of oil getting into the combustion chamber
