Sluggish 850 and poor gas mileage to boot!

I have the correct part, and can now return that rock to the side of the road. Meine, we ought to form a Phila area 850 support group...

I didn't realize you could rebuild a fuel pump on these VOLVOs. where would you get a rebuild kit from?

You can change the innards out with a Walbro. It is well documented in most Volvo forums including ours (repair database). From what I understand, in a pinch an early 90's (like '91) Ford Mustang 5.0's fuel pump will also work and these are readily available at just about any auto parts store.

Thanks for the tip on the hot air door in the airbox! My 850 had the probelm and who know how long I have been running that way. Since I live in Arizona, I just fixed the door to the cold positon. I really can feel the performance difference.
