1994 850 will start but only run for a second, then dies

I'd say it's your fuel relay. Lee has a great write-up on this in the repair database section. I would go into more detail but I need to get to work. You can jumper the connections with the relay out to see if this is it. Good luck and I hope you solve your problem.
