Boy, you guys took this post in a different direction, for sure. Hey, I took my 850 to a shop today for some noise when the A/C is on - sounded to me like a noisy compressor or clutch - advice given to me was to replace the plastic lower idler pulley, then the upper spring-loaded one, and get a quality belt.

Obviously better than replacing the compressor - anyway now to order said parts.....

fwiw, I had the same sound, and we replaced the pully. I ended up needing a new compressor, anyway. I decided to go with an aftermarket compressor because it was cheaper, caried a better warranty (lifetime) and had a higher capacity. The effects are my wallet is thicker and because the compressor is on less, my mpg is better. Just in case you do have to replace it ;)

OK, thanks. I ordered the pulleys today and I guess I'll get the belt later if it still makes noise. I'll write you back for that compressor info if I need it! Hopefully the archives here work.

I'll order my CD changer soon, gotta be able to play CD's.
