Mike,
For what it is worth, when I had water sloshing in the fan area, from a blocked evap drain, I used deep creep spray on the noisey motor. This is from the same guys who make Seafoam.Granted I did have everything open so it was easy to access. So far all is good. IMHO $250.00 seems a bit steep in comparison to the $12.00 for the can of deep creep.
When it eventually dies I will get a new motor, hope that it lasts into the spring of 2009 :mrgreen:

Thanks JFO and tailor,

I think I'm still going to replace my motor. It's expensive but with a chance of moving to Saskatchewan next year, I'm certain that it will be worth it.

I'm also impatient and anal-retentive, and I hating doing the same thing twice when I knew I could have done a more conclusive procedure the first time.. :)

We'll see how things go, and yes I've got a fairly warm place to work.. in theory.
