Hi everybody! I have check engine light on at my 2002 V70 Base model with P0442 code (small leak). I got a lot of info from forums regarding this problem. Major problems: #1 Gas Cap, #2 "J Hose". Seems like my problem was solved in easy way, I pool the Gas Cap out then remove fuel filler gas cap seal from the cap (it was cracked all the way around), then I flip it over and reinstall it (the bottom side was good as new). Check engine light went away in 3 days (some people said that it should take 4-5 driving cycles while system rechecking itself). The whole job takes me 5 minutes of time and $0 dollars, make sure you have some pick tool to remove the seal rather then screwdriver. Good luck. Sorry for my English :D Thanks.

I am resurrecting this because I have no idea what to do next...... My problem is with this same code which I believe it is the ECM400C volvo code and it is driving me nuts..... I've already changed all the vacuum hoses, turbo solenoid (IPD), CVB (IPD), gas cap.... cleaned PTC nipple, updated software on my own (I have access to a valid VIDA subscription), though I am not sure I used the correct software upgrade number (if someone could help here).... I've checked all the hoses and I do not see any apparent leak and my stealership is stellar when charging by the hour.... any ideas? MY volvo xc70 2006. Thanks!
