s70 timing belt one notch off question

Thanks, yes i know I was off by one notch on the belt. Now back to the PTC, I read the link but it still does not describe its function completely. The PTC pushes into the cold air intake line, it has a larger hose connected which goes to the oil trap the 2 wire heater connector and a vacuum line whose other end goes back to the intake mani, what is the purpose of the vacuum line, does it cause the PTC to vary it's opening? Does it suck the oil vapor back to the intake mani?? thanks gojo
