Volvo 850 - re-sprayed front grille

if you don't want to pay $100 for a mesh grill you can cut out all of the slats and JB weld a custom cut (by me) piece of 1/2 in mesh steel in place. it's not perfect but still looks good for a trial run. i have an extra grille so i thought i would try my hand "custom" fabrication. I'll post a pic tomorrow and let you all be the judge to see if it's too getto.

i did this to my s70 a while ago. did two coats after removing the badge and its stayed pretty nice.

those are also E-Code headlight Lenses.

Hey peacock,love the fog lights,and the refurbed grille,I know you have an s70,but my '95 850 was a compact luxury car....where's my fog lights?

ok so i just resprayed my grill i saw that know one really saved any chrome so what i did was just taped up the outline of the grill and painted the bars black i thkn it looks good for how fast i did it

hey bmxandy89, i painted the whole grille....the chrome 'plating' was all flaked off,as you u can tell by my 'chipped' hood pic from before,you're grille looks mint!

o yea that does make sense and now i relize after taking a second look at yours why most people paint the hole thing it looks good but i like how mine looks not totatlly tunered out no offense i just think people would laugh at me cuz i have nothin done to my car and theres alot of haters around here. untill i let them drive it then they shut up cuz my stock 850 is just as fast as most of the lil ricer civics around here

hey bmxandy89,i live in Southwick,Ma.,west of Springfield, actually a Ct. transplant..we live about 100 yards away from Suffield,Ct.,i did buy this car 2yrs. ago....was a family owned car from day 1,they used to tow their boat to the cape every year,i do have the original Volvo trailer hitch still on the car....but @ 212k miles, i let her rest,don't pull anything anymore...i think all the grille/hood damage was from all those days/miles on the Ma.pike?Best $400 car i have ever bought....
