He managed to fix it.
idk the details, but when we looked at his panel, the bottom was pretty much already loose, so the speaker was removed, and I guess it came right off from there.


Ill see if I can get him to do a mini write up for this as im sure it would help lots of people out.
plus would get him that mvs contributor status.

I hope you got your rear door problem fixed. I have a 1998 S40 and can't get either rear door open, inside or out. I think the childproof feature must be on. Problem is, I don't have a manual. Can someone describe to me WHERE the CHILDPROOF LOCK BUTTON is located in the car? Perhaps something needs to be turned off, or lubed, but I just bought the car, and I don't have a clue.
