Yes the fuel pump was replaced about 5 years ago. I don't think it was crapping out at the time, but it was changed anyway just to be on the safe side.Tsquared wrote:Age is not the issue. The problem you have described is a result on one or more of the following: not enough fuel, not enough air, or a restriction on the exhaust.
It would also be good to know what your fuel pressure is running. The "random stalling" fixed by replacing the relay for your fuel pump leads me to believe you have a fuel related problem. Has you fuel pump ever been replaced?
I don't think the "random stalling" was caused solely by a worn out relay. The bracket for the relay connector seems to have broken so when I tried to install the new relay, the connector just went down into the housing. I had to go under the dash and hold it up while someone else pushed it on. This leads me to believe that the relay might not have fully seated on the connector, which would cause random stalling. But I still replaced it just to be on the safe side. The stalling has stopped nevertheless, so I'm happy about that part
