These symptoms usually point to the blower motor resistor starting to fail. This is a job that can be done by the DIY owner. The part can be obtained from one of our sponsors whose links appear at the top of the forum, a big saving on dealer prices.

Bill, I have a 1997 850 Wagon & I need to replace the blower motor resistro. How do I do that?
