There are covers for the 2000 V70 and I tried for a long time to find one, but couldn't. I eventually just made one. I used three spring loaded curtain rods as supports (side to side in the cargo area) and put a light-weight cover over those. I used 3/4-inch thick styrofoam insulation sheeting cut to size with carpet over it to match the car's interior. Thin plywood or even cardboard would work. I used foam because I didn't want to get hit in the head with a sheet of plywood in case of an accident. It looks very nice, very OEMish, and it is easy to just lay the foam and carpet on the deck when I need to use the area.
The mounts for the original are integral with the car's interior, not surface mounts. You'd have to change the interior trim panels if your car doesn't have them. But I can't believe that an SE wouldn't have them. They are very unobtrusive. Open up the hatch and look along the edge of the trim for two small slots about half way up on either side. They may be covered by little plastic trim pieces.

Look, you're confusing the OP.
If wagon CAME WITH a cargo cover, there are indentations.
If it did not come with one, and you bought one, it came with a mounting kit.
With the kit there's a template where to drill two large holes in the upper side trim
In other words there are two different types of covers and end caps

Well, if you have them, here is the location of the rear mounting holes...

I wasn't talking about the rear clip hole, yes he will have to find the plastic trim from a junker and swap that.instarx wrote:Well, if you have them, here is the location of the rear mounting holes...
I am referring to the middle section of the car where it MOUNTS to.
I'm frankly not sure if they all came with this trim or not, I've never thought about it, nor ever looked.
When I can dig my way to the garage I will look at my own T5.
I KNOW it never came with a cargo cover but I think that rear trim is there.

Although I wouldn't swear to it, I'm pretty sure these are the front mounting points... on the rear seats.

Op
Thank you for taking the time to look. I'm going to a junkyard today to see what I can find.

They're on the upper side rails.
How could a cover be mounted off of a rear seat that folds down?

Ummmm... by not folding down the seat when the cover is deployed??
