Please excuse me while I go a little JRL here, but - This thread is a mess! :roll:

C70 convertibles and the S/V cars have Entirely Different Window Systems.

Non-verts are directly operated through the switches and the 'verts have low
current, variable voltage switches that simply signal the window module.
The relays in the module are the components that actually feed power to the motors.
There's a lot more going on in that module, but that's it in a nut shell.

Attempting to draw any comparisons between them is only going to cause confusion.
I understand that the poster from Ontario means well, but these two problems
with completely different cars just don't belong together in the same string.

SCGATOR - Based on your description, I'd consider failed contact pins in the door connector.
Getting a hold of a wiring diagram and checking power on both sides of the door is probably
a good place to start. It will not be fun... If you've got a buddy that's good with automotive
electrical, I'd recommend breaking out the beer and pizza. Good Luck!
