You just need to worry about stuff that might leave you stranded. Two things that come to mind are aged coolant pipes and fuel pump. We have 211K on our V70 and I regularly take it for 400+ mile roadtrips with no reservations. I am considering a fuel pump swap as a preventative measure though.
'04 XC90 2.5T AWD (Angus) 134K.
'99 S80 T6 (Medusa) 214k. On borrowed time LOL
'98 V70 T5 (Vivienne). RIP @ 228K. Spun rod bearings.

Thanks to all for the encouraging feedback. I have a spare fuel pump (and a new relay in the toolbox) I'll probably take if I go. And plan to do the WP, rollers, etc. The TB has about 20k on it and I checked it last summer (4k ago) for cracks, etc. when I had it off to change the camshaft seals. It looked pretty new so I left it. My gas mileage isn't very good ~ 22 mpg, would like to improve it. I bought the copper plugs as recommended, I think by Ozark Lee. Maybe those will help. I also have spare hoses. Tires are good. Oil consumption is kind of high, but tolerable if I light-foot it. It is hard sprung. Might need a soft pillow to sit on for that distance. And I WILL renew my AAA membership.
Anyway, I'm more inclined now to go for it than sit on bus for 24 hours. I went to the station and sat in one of their seats. They're hard foam with not much side room. Not fun.
Onward!

For what it's worth, we took our S70 in sig to Chicago last year from Toronto and had a great time. Only problem was that the blower was acting up so there was little to no air for like half the trip. Good thing we ordered parts before we left for Chicago, as we knew the blower needed to be replaced :P. I think you'll be fine.

Btw whatcha doing here in Toronto?
