Early VVT motors have exhaust VVT only, later ones, ie yours have it on both cams. I still suspect that both units would be set in the same manner, I think they may in fact even be the same part number.

To be precise, you are correct about the existance of a Haynes manual, but I omitted to mention it as ive read about various problems with listed torque settings and some other blunders...

You could get a copy of VADIS off eBay or "acquire" it from other channels. I'll try and take a look in VADIS tomorrow if I get time and see what I can find out.
This board is pretty quiet, you might get an answer to your question by posting on the S80 board, or perhaps the S60 board as I think the later models, 5 and 6 pots have dual VVT.

VADIS is a bit of a pig to navigate. Did you create your user account and at least get logged in?

Thanks for the help guys. I replaced the belt and cam seals yesterday. I aligned all 3 marks up,locked the cams and crankshaft. I removed the t-belt, and both vvt hubs. I replaced all seals ect. When the vvt hubs were off it all made since on how they worked. I didnt see a need to loosen the 3 cam sprocket bolts. When I put the intake & exhaust hubs back on I rotated them clockwise until they hit there stops, I installed the t-belt keeping the slack to the tensioner side of the belt. Everything lined up perfect just like it was prior to the tear down. I have driven about 100 mile and no dtc's are stored and engine runs smooth. So far so good.
