2006 xc90 v8 serpentine belt issue

How many miles were on the idler bearing that failed? I did mine with the timing belt on schedule, at 105k (I think), and they felt ok. Wondering if you went farther on them, or if it was more dependent on the environment or something.

Job done all good. Just drove 100 miles on it. Idler bearings were definitely shot. They felt like sand was in with bearings. Not smooth. Not a horrible job just need a few special tools and patience and know the space is crazy tight where the belt goes so it is tight squeeze to put new belt on.

It's funny how after a relatively major service like this, you always wonder if you did it right. Seriously, I changed my timing belt and all the associated items almost a year ago and I still sometimes wonder if it's going to break due to some error I made. Well, after thousands and thousands of miles, I think I am safe.
