Re: Front tires inside edge worn
Sounds to me like he really could not afford to eat it. What did they say was the alignment problem, toe in?

Yes, it was toe-in. It was opposite (reversed) what it should have been.

Fast forward to today, I was changing the oil and filter and noticed both front tires on the inside edge is just about burned off. Middle and outside edge looks great.

What were the numbers on your camber? If you camber is correct Toe In wears only outside edge. If Toe Out only inside edge. If Toe In with Neg Camber than inside edge. I have 1998 S70 T5 and is in the process of replacing the entire front strut assembly and these cars do not come with Camber adjustments unless you buy an aftermarket bolt kit and even then your struts have to be slotted for this as the steering knuckle does not allow this either. Although the Toe is now correct if the Camber is not fix even if it is not excessive you will still experience inside tire wear.

I knew that I would get it wrong!
I did not get any numbers for the alignment and I was told the camber was okay. He just told me the toe was backward, read the gage wrong, had the gage upside down or something to that effect-he was not sure what the kid did.
I will be watching for inside tire wear for awhile, or until I feel confident it is right. I put the worn tires in the back and the good ones up front.
