'01 C70 Driver's power window stopped working

Anyone ever figure this one out???? I've got the same issue on a 1999 I just purchased. Also has the ROPS and SRS lights on.

Having read the previous thread inputs it seems to cover the topic. The main differences on a 'C' to an S/V70 is the window control above the brake pedal area and the fact that the C uses a window 'cassette' with cables operating the windows rather than mechanical hinges in the 4 door cars.

I looked at buying a C coupe a few years back but was warned off because of window issues by my friend who was a foreman at the time at the local Volvo dealer. He said setting the units up is a major pain and very difficult to do. Usually it was cheaper to replace the cassette as the labor hours soon added up to more than a new unit.

The SRS could be as simple as someone not disconnecting the battery when working on the car and just needs reset.

What on earth is ROPS?

Ah, Roll Over Protection System! No wonder I had not heard of it.

This is a thread on another website that may help a little. It may be the car has been in an accident so the systems have been activated?
