1+,

The RadioShack bulbs PN 272-1092 cost me $1.99 for package of 2 bulbs. Brightness appears to be the same as the others and the size was perfect.

Different companies appear to reference different diameters for the same lamps.
It seems that they come in 3 diameters, various brightness levels, LED counts, etc.

I need to dig out my calipers and make sure, but I think they're 8mm diam.
at the largest and I find two different overall lengths in my V70 switches.
There are 10mm shorties and some longer ones that look about 17 or 18mm.
It looks like the shorter 10mm will replace the longer ones with no troubles.

So... Not Sure...

Watch this space!

This is correct. The dealer wanted some amazing price for the longer candlestick bulbs so after laughing at them and walking away I just used the short Honda bulbs in that switch too. I can't tell any difference in the brightness of the switch.

Woe be the unsuspecting customer who takes his or her car to the dealer for a problem and then just casually says, "Oh, and some of the bulbs in the switches are burned out too."

Just an FYI. Might wanna double check the info from super bright led's I ordered a complete overhaul kit for my car (EVERYTHING) and they sent me a few of the wrong ones, and many were too long.
Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.
