I have the OEM bars and have been happy with them. I find them quick & easy to take on/off, so only ever have them on when needed. The load rating is pretty good... I've carried lots of stuff without problem (pull-out couch, large sheets of plywood, etc).

Ended up getting the OEM bars. Didn't want to drop 300 bucks or so on Thule, only to have to replace the feet when I get another car. I was also worried about the width of Thule or Yakima bars fitting on my Volvo, but then having to get wider ones for my next car (next vehicle will probably be a minivan).

The OEM bars fit great. Took them on the freeway and didn't hear any loud noises or anything (but then again, i'm hard of hearing, but the wife didn't complain either). I have an old yakima fairing I will try to attach.
