The faint rattle was persistent for past several years. But past few weeks were louder, I had started to imagine rear shocks or something would fold anytime.
The guard plate is now fastened. This is a job for your one hand with fingers and thumb at there best, with a role of pinky.
Placing a piece of 1" wood to keep it raised made it easier to turn socket with fastener by hand, then tightening it with 10mm 12pt wrench. The two on driver side were deeper and out of sight. Used patience more than tools to get these up. Driver's rear must be installed from rear using tail pipe as a guide, since it sits 4" to the east of tail pipe.
TIP: I had inserted a small magnet inside the socket's other side to provide a glue for fastener, preventing it from falling.
The plate above the muffler is sitting loose...
