Interesting. Is the wire correctly attached to the strut plastic (or metal) bracket?

Speaking of these sensors, careful not to pull on the wire (even just slightly) when removing a sensor or working on the suspension, always pry out the sensor with a flat screwdriver from underneath.

Yes the wire grommet was properly seated in plastic holder. I had finished working in the dark, I use work lights but shadows cast a different view sometimes. Anyway I had leaned on the brake dust shield so much that it was squeaking horribly first day of driving after repairs. That's the only thing I could see that could have caused this issue. I was replacing brake pads, brake rotors and brake fluid soft lines. Maybe when I hung the caliper on the bottom coil spring winding I possibly crushed it. I spliced back together and seems to be working fine now but I ordered a new factory sensor from FCPEURO.COM just in case I need in near future.

I spliced my back one about 6 times before I broke down and bought a new one from FCP

Those wires just don’t solder well and are awfully small to crimp.
