Well, I called the Volvo dealer and they said it is the right part and can't figure out why it doesn't fit. They let me return the bushing and have ordered the bracket assembly. Thanks for the replies guys!

For the 98 and earlier cars, the entire assembly runs about $100 while just the bushing runs about $15. That makes it pretty easy to understand. 8)

Cost yes and if I remember correctly also there is at least one bolt that is difficult and time consuming to get to in order to remove the bracket?

I don't know where you get a $100 bracket except maybe from a dealer. I bought mine for about $25. No, no difficult to get to bolts - they're all right there on top of the engine in plain sight.

2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Q2 - Totaled in 2022. Not my fault.
2011 XC60 - sold

Per JRL the Aluminum is 99 and up. Erikv11 and I were referring to the 99 and earlier models. Curiosity got me in the rain just now to take a look and it has at least 3 bolts on the side of the engine two of which you can't see visually. It is also all steel and definitely not plug and play. As for pricing I'll defer to erikv11.

You are talking about the part for a 99 or 2000, I am talking about the part for a 98 or earlier.

Ah. I see you said you were talking about 1998 and earlier. Don't know how I missed that. I was talking about 1999 and up. I have no idea how much a 98 mount costs, nor how hard it is to replace.
