This is a followup to my previous post.
As it stands, my blower motor will start sometimes and won't start at other times. There is no fixed pattern here. When it starts, it does a great job of heating or cooling. When it doesn't start, you don't feel anything. So, the fuse seems to be OK and so does the blower motor. Wonder what seems to be the problem when it doesn't start. Any new input would be really appreciated.

It's because all the pics were stored on Photobucket and they have banned users from posting links to third party sites unless the user upgrades to a $400usd/Year account type. Total bs. The only option is to see if the OP is willing to repost in another way. A real shame as this is a great guide.

Can I ask if anyone has tried this on a RHD? I live in the UK with an '08 V70 D5 with 124k miles on the odo and a noisy fan. I bought the parts and fan tool and used the instructions in this thread (thanks and kudos to VCA for the information) plus a YouTube video I found and, while getting the carpet, glovebox and body control module out with no issues, I found access to two of the three recirc housing screws to be almost impossible rather than difficult, and this is the first time a job on a car has beaten me. Even lying on my back with a mirror I couldn't even get the Torx bit to engage in the heads of the two worst, so I chickened out and put the car back together again. I was using a driver from a socket set with interchangeable bits, so perhaps it was the size of the shaft on the tool.
I did find that the car is not truly symmetrically-opposite by drive-hand, as I had no electronics module under my passenger seat. I was wondering if perhaps there are other aspects of the car that are also not symm-opp which makes the RHD even more difficult.

Sorry can’t help you mine is a LhD but I can tell you that access to bolts was challenging. I used a little swivel ratchet.

Thanks for the info and answering. I don't mind challenging; I don't mind working by feel; but I couldn't even guide the Torx driver bit into the recesses of the screws with the fingertips of one hand whilst holding the screwdriver handle in the other. Had I been able to do that, then no problem and game on...pierremcalpine wrote: ↑22 Sep 2018, 11:02 Sorry can’t help you mine is a LhD but I can tell you that access to bolts was challenging.
