Is that one of the relays under the fuse box access panel, or above the cooling fan? I didn't think about testing the injector power with a test light since it consistently fires up when I turn the key (then dies). Are you thinking that the relay kills the power to the injectors after a second?

Good suggestion about the injector relay... you never know.. it could have pulled loose with all this work. I'll pull it anyway, clean the contacts, put some dielectric on it just to eliminate it from this problem. Thanks for the video, I'm a subscriber to this guy and he has a few good ones! My next step is to pull the intake again, check things and put in a new gasket just to be sure.

I've had the start and immediate stall occur 4 or 5 times on 3 different turbo cars (2-850s and a V70) and each time the cause was a loose or disconnected turbo hose. If you had the IAC off then maybe the 3-way hose that connects to it pulled off of the throttle body. In any case I would make sure the intake system is tight before pulling the manifold again.

Have checked/double-checked all the plumbing, especially the IAC and everything's tight. That would have been a great quick fix if loose. Even though that dumb hose clamp holding the solid breather pipes looks like it's installed right, I'm still suspicious of it and am at the point where I need to pull the intake again to be sure.

It lives once again!

So I pulled the manifold today, changed the gasket and pulled that stupid hose bracket/tab off the drivers side manifold bolt. Re-installed everything and it fired right up. Although I didn't see it to confirm, I'm assuming that bracket/tab slipped in the way on installation and caused a gap. The engine is more responsive and has much more pep after the injector rebuild and PCV/breather work. I plan to run it around all day tomorrow (about 100 miles) and then take it in for the emissions inspection on Sunday, and expect it will now pass! Thanks all for your input! J.C.
