In agreement with everyone here- FWD...avoid '01 for any Volvo...'02 is better but only if NOT AWD!!
For the money, a nice AWD Subaru might be a better buy. Just don't want you to get stuck repairing something when you need to have it out of the shop driving it 30K miles a year!!
