Dont know why people need to crticize on forum after all no one is perfect have seen rspi make several errors in his videos every post i did google says about bump that precopster posted pic of aligning with mark on oil pump housing. So is just having the valley and oil pump housing mark aligned good or do you need the bump the precopster showed aligned as well

It's not really a question of whether the bump can be used or not. It's a question of accuracy. The bump on the crank pulley and the bump on the oil pump are too far away from each other to align accurately, unless you have the world's smallest head. If the engine is off the car it would be fine.

By just using the bump you may end up one tooth off.

Using the bump for rough alignment then using the notches for final adjustment is the way to achieve what the title of this thread is about.

Yep, that's all you need to be sure of.
