It looks like replacing the radiator is, by far, the best option. I am looking at this radiator:

This looks like the same radiator that is sold by a variety of sources. My guess is getting a new non-OEM radiator is better than buying a used OEM. At best the newest radiator I am going to find for my car is out of an 98 S70 - that is 16 years old.... Is a new Chinese made radiator better than an old OEM radiator?

I got a radiator from Autozone. Life time warranty and local availability was important to me.

Go for Nissens if you can wait for parts to arrive in the mail. FCP has them, as do many others.

In summer, 2011, I bought an 855 that had a golf-ball sized clump of a beige colored hardened clay-like material stuck on the lower passenger side corner of the radiator. A radiator shop tech told me it was JB Weld. It held through several thousand miles until last spring when it finally cracked and started to leak.
The tech told me that often the leak is caused by the crimp fingers that hold the plastic tank to the core coming loose. He said sometimes you can just retighten the crimp and the leak stops.

I didn't try it b/c it wasn't obvious how to remove the patch material.
