Keep in mind that the bottom-end of a "whiteblock" is similar to the head in that there is a girdle under the crank, so it is a two part affair to drop crank to release rods/pistons.
Where are your leaks? upper end seals? Or below the head in all the parts you haven't yet fixed? Was there much sludge in the top of the motor when you pulled the head?
