Obvious to you and me...but don't know about him...would't want for him to look all over for a 203 now would we?
Low-profile is fine as long as you don't have pot-holes like in NJ, NY and other areas where obviously they don't believe in servicing the roads. I had 2 bent 16" Columa rims on my 850 and one bubbled tire from a pot-hole incident. I went to the high profile tires myself and had no more bent rims or messed up tires after that.
Different tire size in front & rear will it work?

I am kinda struck with 205/40/16, its not for apperence or anything its purely finantial. I purchased used 16" rims and the tires it came with are 2 sets of 205/40/16 which are almost new and 2 are 205/55/16 which are almost bald.
I am cutting corners and wanted to go for 2 new 205/40/16, instead of 4 205/55/16. I checked at volvo speed and most people are using this size tire !!! I don't drive fast mostly I drive around speed limits and max at 80mph, so please let me know if I go for 205/40/16 at all?
Also now I am wondering the difference between 205/40/16 & 205/55/16 is about 3" which is nearly same difference between volvo stock tire and spare tire. so using different size in front and rear why will it set the ABS or other codes? Its just for my curiosity I am not going to try it.

Personally as I said, I never heard of that size but you really should bite the bullet and buy 4 205/55 (or 50) 16's A much nicer ride and I think will also look much better.nitink wrote:I am kinda struck with 205/40/16, its not for apperence or anything its purely finantial. Stop trying to convince your self about mismatching tires, it doesn't work on a Volvo and especially with THAT large a difference
