in http://www.volvospeed.com/Repair/ftrap.php it is written that A7 refers to Combined Instrument.

If it has been A2, I would have agree.

Do you confirm?
My apologies  ... was thinking of something else. Well... the DTC's that are stored should not have anything to do w/ the stalling issue. Has the fuel filter been changed in the last 50,000 miles? Fuel pump ever been replaced?

The 1993 models are somewhat strange b/c the codes are different from the later models, and the ignition and fuel system codes are split up between the A2 and A6 socket.

Hi,

I have changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter about 25 000 miles ago.

Unplug your MAF sensor and see if it makes a difference. Just a thought but at least this way you may be able to illiminate that from the equation. I had a bad MAF sensor and when unplugged my car idled fine. With it plugged back in I got very poor idle, bucking, etc. Replaced it with one from fcpgroton and no more issues....that was 3 months ago.

Thanks I will try.

Does someone know whether it is possible to change the throttle position sensor without going to a Volvo dealer?
Does it require a reconfiguration of the ECU?

Thanks

No, the throttle position sensor is a part that must be purchased either from the dealer or a parts seller such as FCP Groton or EEuroparts.

Thanks for the answer.
But my question was more, can I change it by myself if I got a new TPS? Do I need some electronics stuff to configure the ECU.

Thanks

Oh, no. Not at all. You just remove the old one and put the new one on. No programming required for ECU.
