It's fine, I use it all the time and it's compatible with the spec ATF for this trans.

Actually I didn't pay for the o2 sensor this time, I exchanged the defective NTK o2 I purchased last June. They ordered the wrong size NTK o2 sensor, so instead they gave me the Bosch o2 that they had in stock and it just happens to be original equipment.

I have 4 quarts of Aisin Warner ATF(3309) that's going in for a drain and fill.

The transmission takes more than 4 quarts, and Type 3309 is not compatible with Dexron - so don't mix the two. Mobil tech support says they are not compatible.

Its a drain and fill, so 3 to 4 quarts and this ATF is what is used from the factory.

I must make a correction on this thread, I confuse our Cross Country's sometimes. My wife's'04 is a 5speed a/t that's uses 3309, I used Aisin Warner ATF but it does not say 3309 on the bottle. It's the OEM manufacturer of a lot of the a/t in Volvo vehicles and OEM ATF used in some Volvo's.

No Regardless JWS3309 is backwards compatible with Dexron III.

Dexron III is a synthetic blend right, 3309 is full synthetic right. If this is true then adding some full synthetic to a synthetic blend shouldn't harm anything but I could see why you might want to keep them separate.

3309 is a mineral oil no synthetic whatsoever
