I would do a few more drain and fills on the trans since this replaces it by dilution.

I'm on the fence on this. While I have some mileage left, the time is just about up. I'll pull the cover and take a peak at the visual condition of the belt.

Yesterday I replaced all the engine mounts and the car shifts and rides noticeably better.

I see you noticed my screen name. My XJS is quite the hobby car! 1994 and has 80k. I bought it from the original owner, again with all maintenance documentation since new.

Correct priorities

:-)

Dont worry about the belt. They have at least 50 percent margin built in for lifetime.

Disclaimer. Im a risk taker.

Pete, over the past two months I've run seven gallons of ATF through the box. Good thing it was on sale at Walmart! Actually it is quite clean right now but my first oil change is coming up and will probably drain and refill at least 3.5 quarts and call it done.

Ahh, my lawn. As long as it has some shade of green I'm a happy camper. As abscate mentioned, priorities, I prefer to travel with my wife and maintain odd ball cars!

One thing for certain. Buying parts for the the 850 is MUCH cheaper than the Jag even using Blue Box parts. Now the Triumph parts are dirt cheap but they are all made in China or Taiwan and require frequent replacements.

Speaking of the Triumph, it is a 76 with 38k. I'm the third owner and have owned it for 13 years. I have taken it on very long trips but the wife prefers the jag for the comfort.

Should have known, that is far more than I've done - 4 gallons in 2 years, I
think I should do 3-4 gallons more in the next few months or so. Ours is still
a tan/pink color rather than pure pink. It shifts perfectly.

How is the color on yours?
