Definitely not off-topic, considering those brake lines may get accidentally stressed when attempting to change the springs, you never know when we inadvertently make a mistake , and one must be very careful and inspect them before we reassemble right?

I did not address jreed's point on the brake hose being worn. As part of the overall rebuild of the rear end of the car I replaced all the brake lines and flexi's (while you are in there). I replaced the hard line from one side to the other that is hidden by the fuel tank.

Interesting the same question came up here on how the replacement kit works. I know at one point Volvo actually sold a kit. I recall a friend using a kit he found by chance to replace the rear shocks on his 98 V70 AWD.

So the same question on how the top seats work as they loo different to the Nivomat version.
