'98 V70 Brake Reservoir Cap Leaking

Try taking some fluid out via a bleeder you recently opened. You can run it between min and max, no safety issues.
All my cars I actually mark the level with sharpie so I can check brake wear from up top weekly.

If it's from FCP it will be guaranteed for life. Unfortunately I don't even think they carry it. That's something you'll have to special order with them.
I was thinking the same thing as far as there being a DIY repair to the gasket, other than replacing the whole cap. Sounds like a writeup cn90 would have posted already... we're waiting!

That's a good idea. The reservoir might just be too full, I don't know.

When the fluid is nice and clean it makes reading the level nearly impossible, especially as Volvo put stuff in the way of there they mark the reservoir levels. Have you tried shining a flashlight from one side as sometimes you can see the shadow of the fluid to help gauge the level.

Yes, it's very hard to tell with clean fluid. It looks right at the full line when I shine a light on it, so I think it's good. I'll check again today, also just to make sure there's no more fluid on the cap.
