All the PNP switch fine tuning is news to me. Glad I read it.

The correct, matched bulb business is something I learned the hard way.
I also use a smear of dielectric grease to reduce resistance and eliminate corrosion.
When I add it to any bulb's base I make sure the others are done too.

So, I ordered the socket for the bulb, one of the prongs was broken, but what about the reverse lights? I removed the passenger side one, and then once i replaced it, neither reverse lights came on.

Check for 12 volts at the prongs once in reverse. Key on of course
