The headlights are fine. It's like my car is possessed! And they only flicker like that when the car is on!

What "only flickers like that when the car is on"? No offense but that video showed me nothin'.
I couldn't read the warning window. Be more descriptive.

"was replacing tail light because message kept flashing in dashboard. Message only flashes when car is running, removed one reverse light, and 1 remained on, replaced, and suddenly both reverse lights wouldn't come on, and message remains flashing"

'position light' refers to the rear tail lamps (not the brake, turn, or reverse lamps). 4 bulbs.
These are touchy about using the exact OE specified European spec bulbs. US spec 'equivalent' bulb P/Ns, which auto parts stores often reference to these vehicles may technically fit but don't always match the Euro spec bulb with regard to wattage. In the video it appears the bottom pair is brighter than the top pair. I'd start there.

5W parking bulb in rear light fixture has bad contact. It's the long one which is hardest to reach by removing the speaker.
It can also be the parking bulb which is shared with the brake light bulb. Wattage is 21/5
Check them at night as you can't see 4 clear lights in there during the day
Twist it a little back and forth and watch the problems go away. Don't remove it as they are a bear to put back in. Just twist it one way then the other to wipe off surface corrosion.
The PNP is adjustable for angle with a large nut (18mm from memory) that allows 2 12mm bolts to be loosened and allow rotation of the PNP switch to the desired angle for optimum reverse light operation. The way I set these up is to set up a mirror behind the car reflecting the reverse light so while I make adjustment of the PNP so I can centre the PNP to where the reverse light goes on and off.

If you look at the wiring diagram for these things you need a programmer to figure it out,,,.mydamnvolvo wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 20:13 "was replacing tail light because message kept flashing in dashboard.
